About This Tour
The Dagala Thousand Lakes Trek is one of Bhutan's best-kept secrets. This circular route begins and ends near Thimphu, traversing high alpine meadows scattered with dozens of small glacial lakes. The trek passes through yak pastures, offers superb views of Himalayan peaks, and is famous for excellent trout fishing in its pristine waters. As a less-visited route, it provides a more solitary wilderness experience with the same dramatic Himalayan backdrop.
